Google Maps is not loading in some areas...

Google Maps seems to be going via an outage. At the very least in some areas, the cellular model of Google Maps is unable to completely load its map or present instructions. Over 4,000 studies have been filed for the service on Downdetector, and as of two:12PM ET, Google’s Status Dashboard noted that the corporate was investigating a difficulty with the Maps SDK for Android and iOS, together with the Navigation SDK.

On each the Android and iOS variations of Google Maps, the service was unable to completely load its map, show listings or present instructions. In not less than one case, the app confirmed an error message saying that Google Maps “Can’t attain server.” No matter is inflicting the problem does not appear to have reached the net model of Google Maps, which continues to be capable of present instructions like regular.

Within the description of the problem on Google’s Standing Dashboard, the corporate does not present an evidence for the outage or a specific repair. Engadget has contacted Google for extra data and can replace this text if we right here again.

Google’s last major outage occurred in June, although it was primarily concentrated within the firm’s Google Cloud service. Given the variety of purchasers who use Google Cloud, the outage impacted every thing from Spotify to Snapchat for a number of hours.
